Light to the Nations – with Rabbi Chaim Richman
Weekly series of short messages concerning the weekly Torah Portion.

“Please, speak into the ears of the people, and let them borrow, each man from his friend and each woman from her friend, silver vessels and golden vessels.” (Exodus 10:2) Who are the friends of the children of Israel, and why is the act of borrowing a prerequisite for redemption?

Biblical Faith – with Sam Peak
Weekly series with new shows available every Tuesday.

Whenever the word Toldot –descendants or “developments”–appears in the Scripture, it is missing a letter vav, with two exceptions: “These are the toldot–developments–of heaven and earth as they were created” (Bereishit 2:4), and “These are the toldot–descendants of Peretz” (Rus 4:18); in boththese cases the word contains two vav’s. There is a reason for this. There are six benefits in the original creation that Adam ha Rishon lost when he sinned, and the letter vav signfies “six.” The benfits are: 1) The radiance of his face; 2) his height 3) his longevity 4)the fruit of the earth 5) Gan Ayden 6) the sun and the moon. These things will be restored in Olam ha Bah.
