Biblical Faith – with Shmuel “Sam” Peak

Weekly series with new shows available every Tuesday.

MaHaRaL, in Derech Chaim, opens our eyes to spiritual structure of Creation. He explains that Torah is the tree of life rooted in Ha Shem’s existence, and that Torah study and practice cause beauty and worth to flow into our lives. Torah imbues life with the continuous potential to establish a multifaceted relationship with Ha Shem, which will be the basis of our eternal existence in the World to Come. Although the opportunity to spend eternity in Ha Shem’s close presence is a foreboding challenge, the Rabbis of the Mishnah and Talmud have provided us with the knowledge and guidance we need to achieve this ultimate spiritual success.

V’Zot Habracha: It’s the final Torah reading of the year. We read it on Simchat Torah just before we begin our Torah reading cycle all over again with the reading of Beresheit (Genesis 1:1-6:8). So, you ask, how does Torah end? Stay tuned next week when we read Beresheit, because the end is in the beginning and the beginning is in the end, and what G-d requires most from us is simply the heart.
