The Temple Offerings, Part IV

Holy Temple Pilgrims
The pilgrimage experience combined a sublime sense of expectation with an all-embracing feeling of total trust in HaShem, as Temple-goers left their farms and fields and made their way to Jerusalem and the Holy Temple. The festival of Shavuot, which celebrates the land of Israel and commemorates the receiving of Torah at Sinai epitomizes the total pilgrimage experience. Filmed at the southern wall of the Temple Mount. Recast from one year ago.

Dedication: Dedicated to Yaakov Spitz. Happy Birthday!

Be of this world! That’s what Torah demands of us. While allowing for the nazirite experience within a limited time-frame, the essential message of Torah is to immerse ourselves in this world and to sanctify this world. This is the true purpose of man.

Jerusalem DayJerusalem – the heart and soul of the nation of Israel, the heart and soul of the world. It was 44 years ago today that the Israel Defense Forces liberated Jerusalem and reunited the city. Today, despite all the forces of evil set against her, Jerusalem is growing, ever expanding to accommodate all her children, all those who place their trust in the One G-d of Israel.
