Temple Talk is a weekly internet radio webcast with Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven of the Temple Institute.
This week features:
Two Nations in Your Womb: Perpetual Struggle of Yaakov and Esav
Esav, the Prisoner Release and the Celebration of Murder
The Struggle begins! Who will lead the world and who will be responsible? Esau, the materialist, fatalist man of short term vision and momentary glory, who works to subjugate the heavens to the earth, and life to death, versus Yaakov, the man of the spirit and vision, the eternal, immortal man who works to elevate the earth toward the heavens, infusing life and meaning into our thoughts and deeds. The conflict rages on today as Israel battles the Esauvian forces of death, destruction and deception which are dancing all around her. The newest battleground is the oldest: The Temple Mount! The lines have been drawn: Whose side are you on?

Biblical Faith – with Shmuel “Sam” Peak
Emunah channel is here. For Info www.torahfaith.org
One way of refuting someone with an attitude of doubting his Creator is by saying to them: “You, who doubt the Creator’s power to determine, and do not believe in His great might, [you] whose light of intellect has been dimmed, whose lamp of understanding has been put out, overcome by the darkness of your desire of your distress: it would be correct on your part to demand and take a pledge from your friend and equal, who has no authority over you and whose command does not obligate you. It would not, however, be correct for a hired worker to insist on receiving from its employer a security for his salary, before he has even started working for him. Certainly a servant should not insist on receiving from his master a security for his maintenance before beginning to serve him; still less should a creature demand a pledge from his Creator, before beginning to serve Him.”

“The life of Sara” teaches us that through their deeds the righteous live on even after their bodies are interred in the ground. The first person to be mourned, wept for and eulogized in Torah, Sara’s death and burial in the Machpelah cave of Hevron established Israel’s permanent presence in the land of Israel.

This week features:
Mountain, Field, House: Changing Perception of the Temple Mount
Hebron and the Jewish People’s Eternal Connection to the Land of Israel
In this week’s Torah portion of Chayei Sarah, the patriarch Avraham acquires the “Double Cave” of Machpela as a burial place for his beloved wife Sarah. Our sages teach us that Avraham’s connection to this place goes all the way back to Adam, the first man… and the road leads straight to the Garden of Eden. This week, Jews from all over the world will converge on the holy Biblical city of Hebron, in celebration of the patriarchs’ city. What is the secret of our ancient connection to Hebron? Why did Abraham insist on acquiring the Cave of Machpela? And why does the Torah record the deed of sale? This week’s Temple Talk finds Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman in deep introspection on the secrets of Avraham’s relationship with this most ancient point of connection… and what this means for our generation of Jews in the Land of Israel.
Plus: Avraham saw it as a mountain, Yitzchak as a field, and Yaakov as a house… and even as we speak, our perception of the Temple Mountain is constantly shifting and re-defining itself, as the people of Israel move ever closer to building the “house of prayer for all nations.”

Every newborn baby is a miracle. Yet the birth of Yitzchak, (Isaac), defied all the rules of reason and biology. Rather than bow their heads in awe of the enormity of the miracle that G-d wrought, the pundits and gadflies of the day cast doubt upon the veracity of Yitzchak’s origins. Fast-forward to today, replace “Yitzchak” with “the state of Israel” and gain some insight into Israel’s contemporary denigrators and their pathetic denial of truth and reality.

This week features:
This is How it Starts: Daring to Pray on the Temple Mount
Abraham, Rachel, and the future Temple: Fulfilling the Destiny of MarCheshvan
Just as we settle down into the “colorless” month of MarCheshvan, a month devoid of major observances, we are reminded of the courage, fortitude and selflessness of our matriarch Rachel, as the anniversary of her passing is observed this week, on the 11th day of the month. As we have learned, tradition relates that this month will ultimately host the dedication ceremony of the future Holy Temple. From what we have experienced so far this month, that can’t be too far off… as Rachel’s children have demonstrated that same courage, fortitude and selflessness, daring to challenge draconian police practices and pray publicly on the Temple Mount. And simultaneously, this month proves to be anything but dull, as we continue our weekly Torah readings in the book of Genesis and learn about the nature and mission of our patriarch Avraham, who takes on the whole world, bequeathing his spiritual and moral sensitivity and responsibility to his descendants for all time. Join Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman for this week’s rousing edition of Temple Talk, and hear how this year, MarCheshvan has already proven itself to be a Temple-rebuilding adventure in the making!

To bless and to be a blessing: When G-d told Avraham to leave all he knew and go to Canaan, it was for much more than simply Avraham staking out his future progeny’s claim to the land of Israel. It was so that Avraham could be a conduit and a portal for G-d’s blessings for the family of man.
