Passover, the glorious festival of freedom, is preceded by another holy day, a day of preparation and portent: the tenth day of Nisan. In this week’s special kosher for Passover edition of Temple Talk, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman make the connection between what happened on the tenth of Nisan, and our modern-day observance of Passover. Even as all of Israel prepares for a glorious and fulfilling holiday, the timing of President Obama’s visit to Jerusalem (not to mention the purpose of his trip) carries deep spiritual significance – and challenges.
