The main point of creation was that HaShem wanted to create man, who would then have the task of attaching himself to HaShem, thus to enjoy His true good. This is accomplished through the fact that man has two ways before him, one being good and the other evil; and man has the power to choose whichever he desires.

Hallelujah! Praise HaShem from heaven, praise Him on high. Praise Him, all His angels. praise Him, all His host. Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all the stars that emit light. Praise Him, the heavens above the heavens. They shall praise the name of HaShem, for He commanded and they were created. He set them up forever and ever; He established a law that will not pass away.

The angels are all HaShem’s servants, obeying His command. Everything in the world, whether good or bad, is done through them. Consequently, the angels are divided into two groups, one being good, and the other evil. That is, one group is appointed to do good, whether it be physical or spiritual, and others are appointed for evil, both physical and spiritual.

The redemption of Israel will proceed bit by bit. After each step, Israel will achieve higher levels of t’shuva, and through that, merit further benefits and closeness to HaShem. This is a never-ending cycle. The different visions of the degrees of knowledge available in the future no longer presents a problem, for at the coming of the Moshiach Israel will know little more than they did the day before. Eventually, however, they will achieve profound and broad learning and never forget it. Though the time of the Moshiach will begin with people as we know them today, Israel will gradually reach a level at which the Yaytser haRa is removed from them.

During the year that Moshe dealt with Parro there were many intermediate steps, besides the first unproductive interview with Parro, particularly the accelerating severity of the makkot (plaques). The redemption of Y’israel, as distinct punishment (blows) of the oppressors, was also gradual, as we see in the G’morroh (Rosh haShanna 11A).
