Among the things that we must realize is that the entire procedure and system of G-d’s Providence involves the fairest possible rule of justice. We know, however, that G-d desires only good, and loves His handiwork as a father loves his children. Therefore, G-d’s law and judgment also originate in His love. His punishment is not hateful revenge, but the discipline of a loving Father, who only desires good for His children. G-d willed, however, that man should have free will to act as he desires, and man’s deeds should be recompensed on the basis of a fair system of judgment amd reward.

Astrologers have limited knowledge of system, which limits their ability to foresee future events. Observation supplies a very small amount of information about the system as a whole, and it is the small observable components that constitutes astrology.

Israel is not governed by “mazel”, being an entity which can contradict the steller forces. The power of G-d’s decrees and influence is stronger than that of the stars, and what results is therefore dependent on this higher influence rather than on astrological.

Stars and planets as “pipelines,” bringing influences from Heaven to the physical world. It was for the sake of this process that the stars and planets were created. Through their movements and cycles, influences in the spiritual realm are transmitted and reflected to their physical counterparts, allowing things to exist in the material world in the physical form that was ordained for them.

G-d also appointed a prosecutor, known as the Satan. Scripture mentions him when it says, “The day came when the sons of G-d arrived to present thmselves before G-d, and the Satan also came among them” (Job 1:6). The function of the Satan is to seek judgment before these tribunals and bring action alerting the court to sit in judgment. Remember, all operations of the Heavenly courts are subject to rules.

G-d arranged matters so that His direction of the world should resemble that of an earthly government. This is true of everthing in the world, with respect to the judgement concerning man with his free will, as well as that which concerns the rest of the world and its creatures. Our Sages teach us, “The kingdom of heaven resembles an earthly kingdom.” Therefore, all earthly events are brought to courts in the spiritual realm, which decide Heaven’s response and issue decrees.

G-d Himself oversees all things, above and below, Roots and Branches. Every individual is dealt with according to what they deserve, in such a manner as to advance the perfection of Creation as a whole. G-d made specific conditions with all Creations. Everything in Creation was first asked if it wanted to be created and agreed. He also showed them that their fulfillment would require them to be involved in miracles at specific times. Then, when G-d willed it, it was decreed that these directing angels should suspend their function, and that the natural order be changed according to that decree.
