Temple Talk
Temple Talk is a weekly internet radio webcast with Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven of the Temple Institute.
This week features:
Israel & Jordan, The Strangest Bedfellows
The Life and Death Struggle of Religious Freedom on the Temple Mount
This week’s Torah portion of parashat Vayera finds Avraham, patriarch of the nation of Israel, being called to ‘the land of Moriah,’ where he will face his ultimate test – the binding of his son Yitzchak upon an altar. Mysteriously, there is no place known as ‘the land of Moriah’… but in this week’s passionate edition of Temple Talk, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman explain why the entire land of Israel, and indeed the whole world, is an extension of Mount Moriah – the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. On the backdrop of the attempted assassination of Yehuda Glick, and the appearance of a new ‘hit list’ on Arab social media that includes one of our show’s hosts, Temple Talk pulls out all the stops and plunges into an intense and searing reality check of why the Temple Mount has become the focus of attention, and what the battle for religious freedom on the Temple Mount means for Israel and all humanity. This program is the climax of a decade of Temple Talk programming, don’t miss it!

Abraham’s Guarantee for Mankind
The Month of Mar Cheshvan: Making G-D’s Dreams Come True
On the backdrop of the onset of the ‘bittersweet’ month of MarCheshvan, the ‘silent’ intifada of Arab violence in Jerusalem, and the mission of our father Abraham in this week’s Torah portion of Lech Lecha, this week’s edition of Temple Talk, finds Yitzhak Reuven and Rabbi Richman analyzing the special mystical relationship between this month, which features no major holidays, and the future dedication of the Third Temple. Temple and Temple Mount activism are emanating from Mount Moriah all the way to the halls of the Knesset… there is a natural, intuitive and ongoing spiritual revolution in Israel that is the legacy of our forefather Abraham and the key to the rebuilding of the Temple in our time.

Genesis & the Big Bang of Faith
A New Year of Work Toward the Holy Temple Begins!
It is a new year and a new dawn as Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven emerge from their Sukkot strongholds and replant their feet in the newly created (again) world of the opening chapters of Genesis. But no sooner do they re-acclimate to “In the beginning, version 5775” then the blessed rains that fell in Israel on Sunday become the torrential flood of Noach’s day.
The beautiful world that G-d created quickly went awry due to man’s avarice and is still in need of fixing and that is exactly what is taking place today in the land of Israel. Growing interest in the Temple Mount and Holy Temple is transforming into Holy Temple fever as the Sukkot holiday witnesses hundreds of Jews ascending the Temple Mount in spite of severe restrictions and an unprecedented, first time in 2000 years reenactment of the traditional Sukkot Water Libation ceremony which was last celebrated in the Holy Temple. This time the ceremony began with the drawing of water by a kohen from the Shiloach spring and concluded by a model altar in Jerusalem’s old city Jewish quarter. But the more than 1000 spectators, the joy visible on their faces and the tears in their eyes was a resounding statement that the people of Israel are marching toward the Holy Temple. Start your 5775 the right way – with Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven on Temple Talk!

Temple Talk Sukkot Special
Welcome 5775, the Year of the Holy Temple!
From the sobering judgment of Rosh HaShana, the New Year, through the awesome cleansing of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, we now head straight for the protective shadow of the sukkah booth, our temporary dwellings reminiscent of the Divine clouds of glory that shielded Israel throughout her temporary desert wanderings. If there’s one thing that the glorious holidays of Tishrei remind us of, it’s that everything in this world is temporary. That’s why we need to sanctify and elevate every moment. Which is exactly what happens in the Holy Temple! Join Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman this week for a special Tishrei roundup, reflecting on this Divine cycle of time all the way through to Simchat Torah, when we begin reading the Torah once again from the beginning.
Plus: So much has happened this past year that has helped to pave the way towards the rebuilding of the Holy Temple in our time! Now the Temple Institute is beginning its newest, most ambitious program of preparing blueprints for the Temple sanctuary… and during this holiday of Sukkot, a special, joyous part of the Temple service will be reenacted for the first time in almost two thousand years! A Temple Talk you will not want to miss. Temple Talk will not be recorded during the festival of Sukkot… the next edition of Temple Talk will be on Tuesday, Oct. 21st. Chag Sameach!

Rejoice With Trembling
Rosh Hashana, The International Coalition Against Evil
The sages of Israel teach that there are three books open on Rosh HaShana, and every man signs his own name to one of them. Which book will your name be in? Join Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Chaim Richman for the last Temple Talk broadcast of the year 5774! Our hosts present a beautiful panorama of what Rosh HaShana really means, as the fate of all mankind, every individual and every nation, is written on this day. What should we expect? What should we be praying for? And how do we get the most out of this awesome experience? It’s all here in this inspiring edition of Temple Talk, last installment for this year. But remember, there’s a brand-new year coming, 5775, “The Year of the Holy Temple!”

The Blessing and the Curse
Rosh HaShana: Appointment with Destiny for All Humanity!
In this penultimate edition of Temple Talk for the year 5774, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman find striking similarities between the themes of this week’s Torah portions and Rosh HaShana, and the choices facing the entire world today. What kind of world do we want to live in? After all, the upcoming New Year is a time of judgement – and a time of decision – for all humanity. The blessing and the curse are both within reach, Moshe tells us in this week’s parasha, and it is up to us to decide what we want. But the decision requires true integrity, and accepting our responsibility for the whole world. The leaders of the free world seem to have decided against recognizing the face of pure evil. But in what may be the most politically incorrect Temple Talk of all time, our hosts confront Islam head on, and challenge the world to acknowledge and admit what Islamic terror is really all about, before it is too late.
