The Eyes of G-d are Upon the Land of Israel, All Year Round
The Divine Guarantee of Living in the Land of Israel: Do Not Fear Them!
More than half way through now with the month of Menachem Av, the consoling father, and on our way towards the High Holidays along the road paved by the Seven Weeks of Consolation, this week’s edition of Temple Talk finds Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman reflecting on the Torah of the now, as the voice of Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses our teacher, reaches out to our generation with the love of the Land of Israel and the responsibility of upholding our covenant with G-d. Remember, it’s not a history book – it’s the story of our unfolding lives! Will we be the ones to finally get it straight? Warning: this episode of TT contains strongly worded, no-nonsense talk about the Land of Israel. It is highly recommended that children do not leave the room during this broadcast!
What’s the secret, eternal dimension of Shema Yisrael that Rabbi Richman experienced in Hebron? Go get the kids and listen to this edition of Temple Talk together with them, for an uplifting experience that spans the generations and unites fathers and sons!

Oh, Morsi Me! Hamas’ Children Have a Day at the Beach
Tisha B’Av to Tu B’Av, From Mourning to Dance: On the Way to the Third Temple
“You have transformed my lament into dancing for me, You undid my sackcloth and girded me with gladness” (Psalms 30). This verse beautifully describes the theme of this week, as the nation of Israel moves from the mourning of Tisha B’Av, to the joyous, widely-misunderstood holiday of Tu B’Av, the fifteenth day of Av, the holiday of love. What a cycle: from pain to joy, from destruction to hope. This is the quintessential Jewish idea! This week’s Temple Talk explores the dimensions and inner message of this Temple-centered ‘minor’ holiday, celebrated in contemporary Israel as a love-fest. Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman discover that Tu B’Av has a glorious past, and is a bridge to the future… to the building of the Third Temple.
Our hosts summarize the lessons of this year’s Tisha B’Av season, including a disappointing denial of Jewish access to the Temple Mount on that most spiritually important day. But the Jewish people – and more importantly, the children – are ready. Tune in for an inside look at the joy and excitement in the Jewish world generated by the Temple Institute’s viral video hit, “The Children are Ready…” and the controversy the short clip caused in the Arab world, which is up in arms over… what, exactly? A Temple Talk you will not want to miss!

The Subtlety of Tisha B’Av that Falls on Shabbat
Deuteronomy: The Unique Vision of Moses for His People Israel
It’s paradigm shift time for the nation of Israel as Rabbi Chaim Richman and Yitzchak Reuven weave together all the loose threads of change currently challenging us all: The stepping up of the three weeks into the nine days of Av, the regal month that roars like a lion protecting its cubs; the gift of self-propelling prophecy that visits us on Shabbat Chazon as we get to draft our own Holy Temple blueprints; the tantalizing ramifications of Tisha B’Av which falls on Shabbat; and the shift in consciousness and purpose which informs the words of Moshe rabbenu as he readies his beloved people Israel to enter into the cherished land of Israel, as we begin the book of Deuteronomy. Plus, more thoughts on the three weeks and the necessary prerequisites for building the Holy Temple: losing our jaded and faded heaviness of spirit and regaining the childlike energy and drive to make a real change in the world.

This week features:
Hillary’s Hair and the Jewish Problem: Whither American Jewry?
A Time to Weep and a Time to Laugh; A Time to Mourn… and a Time to Build
As the book of Numbers draws to a conclusion this week with the reading of the double portions of Matot and Masei, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman reflect upon the life lessons we have garnered over the past few weeks in reading and studying Bamidbar… most notably, the profound sense of love for the Land of Israel emanating from G-d Himself, and reverberating throughout the generations, from the daughters of Tzelophchad and on down to the children of our very own generation, whose passion for the Land strengthens their resolve to settle it despite all odds and obstacles.
This week we usher in the month of Menachem Av, the month of the Consoling Father, a time known for Temple destruction and mourning, but waiting to become the time of Temple renewal and rebuilding. It’s up to us, the hosts of Temple Talk remind us, to stop crying and start building… the father is waiting for his children to console him!

This week features:
A Pinchas For Our Generation to Stem the Tide of Desecration
Pinchas, Temple Mourning & the Desecration of G-d’s Name: Get Up & Take a Stand!
Who was the mysterious Pinchas, grandson of Aharon, the “Supercohen” who avenged G-d’s honor and saved the Jewish people? Did he really become Elijah the prophet, a man who lives forever? What does it take to muster the kind of fortitude and courage that it took for Pinchas to take a stand that was radical and unpopular… but true to G-d’s will? In this week’s searing, powerful edition of Temple Talk, Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Richman examine Pinchas, his deed, and his legacy in the modern Jewish world, where Hashem’s name is still being publicly desecrated. This calls for a Pinchas in our generation – and fortunately, we have one. Tune in to find out who he is.
It was the legendary labor activist Joe Hill whose dying words were “Don’t mourn, organize.” As we continue to navigate through “The Straits,” as this three-week mourning period for the Holy Temple is known, our hosts continue to clarify, elucidate and explore the nature of mourning for the Holy Temple, and determine that old Joe was right: It’s up to us, and to us alone, to stop the cycle of pain. A gripping Temple Talk you will not want to miss!

This week features:
Bilaam, Balak Obama and the Roots of Anti-Semitism
Bilaam, Balak, & the Jewish Question: What Exactly is the Anti-Semite’s Problem?
Exhausted but overjoyed to be back in the Land, Rabbi Richman joins his life-saver Yitzchak Reuven for a moving edition of Temple Talk that introduces the three-week period of mourning for the Holy Temple that begins next week with the fast of Tammuz 17. Our hosts insist that the people of Israel need to take the “u” out of “mourning” and begin a New Morning of Temple conciousness, reconciliation and most of all… rebuilding.
This week, the heathen prophet Bilaam and his pal, Moabite king Balak are on center stage as they seek to “drive Israel away from the land” (Num. 22:6). What did Israel ever do to them? For that matter, what did Israel ever do to Gunter Grass or Alice Walker? Tune in to this week’s Temple Talk for a startling, unapologetic insight into the true motivation of Israel hatred.

The Sublime Mystery of the Red Heifer: Death is Not the End!
Cleaning the Filth of the Golden Calf and the Impurity of the Deceitful Serpent
The statute par excellence of the Torah, the Red Heifer is a bridge between life and death and life ever after. Yitzchak Reuven and guest co-host Tzvi Richman explore together the inexplicable depths of the Red Heifer, and are in sore need of the world’s foremost English language expert on the Red Heifer, when behold, a phone rings in the studio and on the other end of the line is our very own Rabbi Chaim Richman, who delivers piercing words of truth concerning the Red Heifer and the critical moment in history we find ourselves in as we move past crying over the loss of the Holy Temple to building anew the Holy Temple. Rabbi Yisrael Ariel of the Temple Institute was banned from the Temple Mount last week: Why? What are the police afraid of? Who is breathing down their necks? How do we respond? More Jews and more prayer and more song on the Temple Mount. There is only one way this movie is going to end: Prayer and song for all in the Holy Temple!
