The splitting of the Sea of Reeds is known as G-d’s great miracle performed on behalf of the children of Israel, but it is also the defining moment of our courage and faith in G-d, and trust in ourselves. Crossing over from one side to the other in pursuit of a closer relationship with HaShem is part of our spiritual DNA. The need to muster our courage and ford all rivers that stand between us and G-d, is a challenge we face even today.
