Chapter 3 Mishnah 12 ‘n 13
We learned in the preceding two mishnayot that HaShem fulfills our alacrity search for wisdom in response to our fear of sin and in response to our good deeds. The reason is that HaShem is so closely bound to people that He responds to our initiative. Our Mishnah continues with yet another consequence of this connection between man and HaShem: When people are pleased with someone, HaShem favors them as well.
“Treat His will as if it were your own will, so that He will treat your will as if it were His will” (Avot 2:4)
